The Mount Snow Valley Chamber of Commerce's three member towns supported a number of local economic development initiatives at Tuesday's annual Town Meeting. The highlights of those votes appear below.
Dover
· Voters rejected the petition to use half of the 1% local option tax funds to offset municipal taxes by a paper ballot of 136-39. Funding remains in place for 2009/10
· Voters approved $7,000 funding for non-profit Kids in the Country Day Care
Whitingham
· Voters approved the Tri-Town Economic Development Committee short term funding request of $2500
Wilmington
· Voters approved the Memorial Hall funding of 30,000
· Voters approved 10,000 for the completion of the bank lot park
· Voters approved $3,500 funding for non-profit Kids in the Country Day Care
· Voters approved Tri-Town Economic Development Committee short term funding request of $2500 and the Wilmington/Dover long term funding request of $17,000 for strategic economic research and planning
