5th Annual Tubathon at Mount Snow

DEERFIELD VALLEY ROTARY TUBE-A-THON RAISES MONEY FOR LOCAL SCHOOLS AND SCHOLARSHIPS

On Sunday, March 22nd the Deerfield Valley Rotary Club will host its 5th annual Tube-a-Thon event at the Mount Snow Tubing Park. The event will run from 2:30 – 4:00 P.M and will feature a barbeque put on by the Rotary Club. Local school children make up the majority of the participants as they whiz down the hill earning money for their schools. The public is also welcome to attend and donations to the Deerfield Valley Rotary will be accepted.

Last year over 150 people attended the event, with 55 students collecting pledges that raised a total of $3,200 for their schools or childcare center.

According to Deerfield Valley Rotary Club president, Arlene Palmiter, “Every penny that the kids raise goes right back to their schools.” In addition, the Rotary Club usually raises approximately $3,000 for its scholarship fund through donations of sponsors and tube-a-thon visitors.
