Deerfield Valley Farmer’s Day Fair Talent Show to feature new top prize



The 92nd Annual Deerfield Valley Farmers Day Fair taking place in Wilmington, VT August 27th – 30th will once again offer an entertaining talent contest for all ages on Thursday August 27th under the big tent on Baker Field.



Contestants from four categories (Preschool - 5th Grade, 6th - 8th Grade, 9th - 12th Grade, and adults - 18 and older) will compete in their respective categories for first, second and third cash prizes of $50, $30, $20 respectively..



First place finishers in each category will vie for a new “People’s Choice” award – awarded by voice vote from the talent show spectators. The “People’s Choice” will receive a $100 cash prize, admission for four to the Vermont Life Wine & Harvest Festival Bluegrass BBQ on Friday September 25th at the Matterhorn Inn in West Dover, and the opportunity to perform their winning entry as the opening act for the Jim Flynn Trio performing at the event.



Pre-registration is not required – contestant may register at the talent show tent from 5-6 prior to the show start time of 6:30. If needed for performing, contestants need to bring labeled cd’s or taped music with them at the time of registration.
