Be the first to see a portion of our twenty-four full size unique Adirondack benches unveiled. Created by our talented local artists, and constructed locally, these fun and functional "Best Seats in Vermont" will adorn the valley this summer.

Enjoy live entertainment from Colby Dix, family fun activities including bouncy house, and dinner while viewing what our Valley has in store from Memorial Day through Columbus Day.

Join the valley in celebrating our summer 2010 kick-off of our public arts. This afternoon and early evening unveiling at the Sitzmark is perfect for all family members and ages, and includes dinner, with paid admission. $10 Adults and $5 under 8.

The $ Grand $ Race 4

Competing for the Grand Prize of $1,000, teammates will travel by foot and by car in this fierce and exciting road rally. The race will take teams throughout the Town of Dover and areas north, south, east and west in Southern Vermont. As with the popular TV show, teams will compete in fun, thrilling but mentally and physically challenging events along the way. Entry fee is $100.00 per team which must consist of 4 people and includes BBQ for four at Finish Line BBQ. BBQ is open to the public to watch the racers cross the Finish Line. 3rd Annual Peace Pipe Jam at Mount Snow

On Memorial Day weekend Vermont Crafts Council is celebrating its 18th year of Open Studio Weekend during which Vermont craftspeople and artists invite the public to visit their studios. Vermont Studio Tour Guide Maps are available at prominent locations around the Deerfield Valley including the Chamber of Commerce. In the Deerfield Valley region of southern Vermont, 11 studios featuring the work of 15 different artists will be open to the public from Wilmington to Whitingham, Halifax and Readsboro.Artists will be demonstrating their craft and making their work available for sale. Hours: 10 am- 5 pm each day. Look for the bright yellow Open Studio signs!

23rd Annual GREAT DUCK RACE - Downtown Wilmington

To benefit the MAKE-A-WISH FOUNDATION OF VERMONT! Join in the fun - all proceeds to help grant wishes for ill children. Games, Face Painting, Music, Bake Sales. A total of 1500 yellow rubber ducks will be released around 12pm, and will float down the Deerfield River. Cheer on your duck. Over 100 prizes donated by the generosity of area businesses will be awarded to the fastest ducks!
